LINCOLN, Neb. (WNAX) – The approval of medicinal and recreational marijuana by South Dakota voters is getting attention in bordering states.

Nebraska Governor Pete Ricketts says they felt the effects after Colorado approved marijuana.

Ricketts says border counties will see increased incidents and costs.

The two ballot issues will become effective on July 1 next year.
