SDGA Sanford Golf Series @ Brookings CC

The latest installment of the SDGA Sanford Golf Series took place yesterday at Brookings CC down south and it featured two golfers from the Hub City and one from the region. Maddie Childs (of Mitchell) was the medalist for the day, carding a three over par. There was a three way tie for second place and Aberdeen’s own Olivia Braun would be a part of that group. On the back nine, Braun shot even par, just one bogey (on hole 10) and she parred the next seven holes, before wrapping up the day on the 18^th hole with a birdie to finish tied for second with Allison Meyerink of Mitchell & Bryn Huber of Huron. Miller’s Jayce Pugh also finished in the top five; carding a seven over for the afternoon, including birding holes two & seventeen. Also of note, Aberdeen’s Claire Crawford finished tied for 16^th place for the day, finishing sixteen over par; the highlight of Crawford’s day was a birdie on the par five, fifth hole.
