HURON, SD (hubcityradio.com) – Olivia Braun continued her stellar season Tuesday, firing a 4-under-par 68 to earn medalist honors and claim her sixth tournament victory in seven events for Aberdeen Central Golden Eagles.
Aberdeen finished second in the team standings at 27-over-par, trailing only Mitchell Kernels at 24-over. It marked the first tournament this season the Golden Eagles did not win the team title. O’Gorman Knights placed third at 50-over, followed by the Huron Tigers and the Rapid City Stevens Raiders.
Chloe Vikander and Emma Dohrer each tied for seventh with rounds of 78 for the Golden Eagles.
Londyn Hajek (Mitchell) and Ari Jacobs (O’Gorman) shared runner-up honors at 3-over 75, while Geneva Fredrickson (O’Gorman) and Maddie Childs (Mitchell) tied for fourth at 76. Anna Eliason (Mitchell) placed sixth with a 77, while Hayden Thorton (Rapid City Stevens) shot 80 to finish ninth.
