SIOUX FALLS, SD (HubCityRadio.com) – After the SDGA Two-Woman Championships wrapped up on Sunday from Moccasin Creek Country Club in Aberdeen, Olivia Braun and multiple area golfers were right back to the links on Monday afternoon down south in Sioux Falls at Bakker Crossing.

After the first round of two, Braun sits tied for the lead with Gabi Olson of Watertown. Braun was a ‘steady Eddy’ on the front nine as she picked up birdies on the par five second hole and the par four fourth hole. She would double bogey the ninth hole, to card an even par for the front. On the back nine, she would birdie the par five sixteenth hole and then bogey the seventeenth to shoot an even par for the day.

Watertown’s Gabi Olson’s round was a little more rollercoaster-esc. She would pick up six birdies for the ups, but also would suffer six bogeys for some of the downs. She too is at even par, tied with Braun after the first day. Katie Betsworth of Dakota Dunes, Brynn Roehrich of Watertown and Clark/WL high school (the class A champion) and Tori Peterson of Flandreau would round out the top five on the girls side of things.

On the guys side, Ty Lenards of Watertown sits in first place after day one; he carded a five under par, 66 for the first day and he’s followed by Jayden Antonen of Sioux Falls in second, Logan Collete of North Sioux City in third and there’s a three way tie for fourth place; led by Aberdeen’s Finn Anderson, who shot a -2, 69 for the first day.

Anderson would birdie three holes, two of them on the front and one on the back, coupled with one bogey, to sit within striking distance after day one.
