WATERTOWN, S.D.(KWAT)–The U.S. Highway 212 bridge in Watertown that spans Willow Creek is now known as the Charles T. Langenfeld Memorial Bridge.
A ceremony was held at the Redlin Art Center Saturday, where family, friends and military and political dignitaries gathered for the bridge naming ceremony.
Langenfeld died while serving his country, on April 17, 1968 in Vietnam.

Langenfeld was the brother-in-law of world famous wildlife artist Terry Redlin.
Julie Ranum is the Redlin Art Center’s executive director.
Charles Langenfeld was a 1965 graduate of Watertown High School, where a scholarship is named in his memory.
