BROOKINGS, S.D.(KJJQ)- The Brookings School Board votes to approve the contract with the district’s next superintendent, Dr. Summer Schultz.
She comes to Brookings from Dell Rapids where she has served as Superintendent of Schools since 2015.

Books says Schultz will be involved in some key hiring decisions.
The hiring follows the forced resignation of Superintendent Klint Willert, which the board accepted at the end of March. Willert’s resignation is effective June 2nd. He has served in the post since 2015.
The contract with Schultz is for two-years, starting at $195,000 annually.
