Brown Co. Emergency Management reminds everyone of social distancing

ABERDEEN, S.D. (Brown County Emergency Management) – Social distancing is working.
Brown County Emergency Management would like to remind everyone that social distancing remains incredibly important during this time.

Testing results clearly indicates that we are slowing the spread of COVID-19 locally, but we have not stopped it. Now is not the time to let our guard down, we need to remain vigilant in our social distancing measures.

Please remember that these protocols have been put in place for everyone’s health, not just those infected with COVID-19.

Even though we can’t say for sure when we will reach the finish line, we will get through this, by remaining strong and adhering to the practices outlined by the CDC (https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/prevent-getting-sick/prevention.html):
 Clean your hands often
 Avoid close contact (social distancing)
 Cover your mouth and nose with a cloth face cover when around others
 Cover coughs and sneezes
 Clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces

We would also like to draw your attention to this City of Aberdeen post (https://www.aberdeen.sd.us/CivicAlerts.aspx?AID=1094), outlining facilities that will be closed until June 1, 2020 or remain open for public use.
