ABERDEEN, S.D.(HubCityRadio)- The Brown County Commission on Tuesday addressed the provisional budget for the year 2026.

Brown County Commissioner Duane Sutton checked to see what feedback they received from the public.

No public comment was mentioned on record from the public.

Sutton discussed a request made by the Northeastern Mental Health Center.

Sutton talks about the additional $25,000 from the opiod fund is still under negotiations.

Sutton explain that there will be increased funding for personnel and for bridge projects.

The Brown County Commission approved the provisional budget.  The Commission will address the general budget on September 23rd.

The Brown County Commission also seat a hearing date for the five year plan of the Highway Department for Tuesday, September 30th.

Reminder that there is no Brown County Commission meeting next Tuesday due to the State County Convention being held in Pierre that week.
