ABERDEEN, S.D.(HubCityRadio)- The Brown County Commission once again dealt with a second reading on an ordinance dealing with establishing guidelines for wind energy projects.
Michael Iacopetti with Invenergy expressed concerns about setbacks dealing with where windfarms can be compared to locations opposed to the project.
Iacopetti expressed concerns how one property opposed could have an impact on properties around them that are in favor.
Commissioner Mike Gage explains why the ordinance is in place to go with the property line and not the property itself.
Gage talks about the compromise trying to put in place to make it fair for everyone involved in the process.
Brown County Landing and Zoning Commissioner Scott Bader look for clarification.
Brown County Deputy State Attorney Ross Aldentaler talks about what future changes could be made to the ordinance.
One commissioner who is in favor of the ordinance sits now is Commissioner Drew Dennert.
The commission voted 4-1 to once again defer this to a future date with Commissioner Dennert the only one opposing it.
