ABERDEEN, S.D.(HubCityRadio)- During the Consent Calendar portion of Tuesday’s Brown County Commission meeting, Planning & Zoning Director Scott Bader addressed what’s happening in the township of Verdon.

Bader believe the county should be taking care of Verdon.

One major issue are the trustees representing the township.  One was a former trustee who’s now the mayor of Groton.

Bader talked about a resolution that been in place since 1981 and what the location in Verdon wanted to do in 2014.

Bader will focus on the communities outside the city limits.

Bader believe for now the location needs to decide what their future will be.

Brown County Auditor Lynn Heupel announced an amendment to the ordinance.

Brown County approved the date for the ordinance to be heard in the future.
