ABERDEEN, S.D.(HubCityRadio)- On Tuesday, the Brown County Commission debated the ordinance dealing with the setback distance of the pipeline to the property at 1500 feet.
Brown County Commissioner Duane Sutton recap the planning & zoning meeting held last Tuesday and keeping the 1500 foot distance from the lot line.
Only opposition heard was from Trevor Jones of Summit Carbon Solutions. Jones does want to keep an open door policy with the commission & the landowners.
Commissioner Mike Gage made the motion to pass the ordinance.
The Brown County Commission voted unanimously(5-0) in favor of the ordinance.
Afterwards, Dennis Feickert pushed the issue of cultivation.
Summit has a hearing with the South Dakota Public Utilities Commission in September.
