ABERDEEN, S.D.(HubCityRadio)- Executive Director of Homes Are Possible, Inc.(HAPI), Darin Beckius appeared in front of the Brown County Commission Tuesday looking to waive tipping fees for the Brown County Landfill.

Beckius talks about how the process came about.

Beckius feels this will help speed up the process.

Beckius wants to emphasize this is not something that they normally would request.

Brown County Landfill Manager Mike Scott describe how the tipping fees help drive their yearly budget.

Commissioner Kyler Dinger offered a compromise to the process.

Brown County Commission approved HAPI’s request and will revisit it about three years from now.
