ABERDEEN, S.D.(HubCityRadio)- The Brown County Commission on Friday officially certified the vote that was held on Tuesday.
Brown County Auditor Lynn Heupel explain to the commission who all cast votes in Brown County prior to and including election day.
Officially, 4,468 cast ballots with 84 turning in blank ballots(mostly Independent & Democrat voters)
Heupel added the provisional votes to the tally in the morning and then broke down the votes in the various vote centers. Example for this story is at the American Inn.
Following the canvassing, the Brown County Commission announced the vote centers to be used for the audit that’s required by the Secretary of State’s Office.
The total votes from both centers are 118. They had to reach a minimum of 100. The races that they will audit is the Presidential Race & the results for the District 1 House Primary. The goal is to compared the hand count of them to that of the ES&S machines used on election night. That will take place on June 24th.
