ABERDEEN, S.D.(HubCityRadio)- Brown County Highway Superintendent Dirk Roger provided an update to the Brown County Commission on Tuesday.
Rogers told the commission they opened the gates but do plan to close them again.
Rogers says the waters need to go somewhere within the county.
The commission also addressed an update on the road detours needed once the Richmond Dam gets started. Commission Dinger talks about concerns expressed about using 127th Street.
They made suggestions to use 129th instead. Rogers addressed that.
Commissioner Dinger believes the 127th Street detour may end up being the best option.
Commissioner Mike Gage spoke about using that road going onto US Hwy 281.
The Commission must decide on the detour route by May.
