ABERDEEN, S.D.(HubCityRadio)- At the end of the commission meeting Tuesday, Commissioner Mike Wiese asked to clarify a portion of SB201 dealing with $1 lineage per foot.

Wiese read what section 2 of the bill containing the issue about the $1 lineage per foot.

Wiese questions whether this involves all parcels in Brown County or the ones impacted by the pipelines.

District 3 Representative Carl Perry tried to clarify that part of the bill.

Perry who is opposed to this bill discuss that funding for counties shouldn’t override local control.

A group is working on a referendum to try to repeal SB201 & place it on the ballot for citizens to vote on.
