Brown County Commission receive major update on the Brown County Fairgrounds

ABERDEEN, S.D.(HubCityRadio)- The Brown County Commission receive an update on the Brown County Fair from Fair Manager Rachel Kippley.

Kippley discuss contracts for musical performances for the upcoming 2025 fair.

Kippley also talks about the contract to use Coke projects exclusive at the fair.  She begins by discussing a poll of Brown County Fair Board members.

Kippley talks about the contract offer from the Coca-Cola company.

Kippley also discuss marketing plan they would have with the Coca-Cola Company.

Kippley inform everyone that campers can be allow to have Pepsi products in them.

Brown County Commission approved the contract.

Kippley discuss liquor licenses and looked into what other fairgrounds across the state does with that.

Kippley discuss what the liquor licenses would look like.

Kippley also update on the Fairground Improvement Fund.

Kippley discuss revenues generated by the Fair Board through programs that maybe not everyone liked.

Kippley discuss how much revenue was made and requested to put that into the improvement fund.

The Brown County Commission moved to table that request for now.  They will put that on the agenda on Tuesday, December 31st.  Reminder there will be no commission meeting next Tuesday due to the Christmas holiday.  The offices are closed Monday through Wednesday of that week.
