Brown County Commission receive update on CO2 pipeline

ABERDEEN, S.D.(HubCityRadio)- On Tuesday, the Brown County Commission received an update from Summit Carbon Solutions & landowners regarding routing for the CO2 pipeline.

Former Brown County Commissioner & SD legislator Dennis Feickert told the commission that Summit might not being going through McPherson County because of their setbacks.

Feickert has been receiving phone calls from landowners who have had conversations with Summit.

Feickert told the commission that landowners are still opposed to these pipelines.

Brown County Commissioner Duane Sutton inform the public that no route has been set at this time.

Summit’s Senior Project Manager Kylie Lange verified what Commissioner Sutton said.

Spink County landowner Ed Fischbach talks about the group South Dakota Ag Alliance & what’s their goal is with the South Dakota Legislature.

Fischbach talks about the goals the landowners have with next year’s legislature.

The South Dakota Legislature begins on January 9th.
