ABERDEEN, S.D.(HubCityRadio)- At Tuesday’s Brown County Commission meeting, the commissioners heard from Scott Vincent, Director of Logistics for Strobel Energy Group based in Nebraska. The group is involved with bringing the tallow to Claremont coming from the Demkota Beef Plant in Aberdeen.
Vincent explains the process used to bring the trucks from Aberdeen to Claremont.
Vincent talks about working with the people of Claremont and looking for different route in Claremont to leave the tallow to be picked up by rail.
Vincent also discuss the benefits of tallow.
Brown County Highway Superintendent Dirk Rogers believes the situation in Claremont doesn’t rise to concern for legislation from the county level.
Rogers question why Third Street is being used to haul trucks into the Claremont area.
Brown County Commission chimed in. Commissioner Doug Fjeldheim believe at this time it is a city issue.
Commissioner Duane Sutton believe discuss that communications needs to be much better.
No official action was taken by the County Commission on Tuesday.
