Brown County Commission tabled Ordinance #243 until April 25th

ABERDEEN, S.D.(HubCityRadio)- Brown County Commission held their meeting Thursday to deal with Ordinance #243 dealing with pipelines.

Commissioner Mike Wiese talks what the ordinance was about.

Among those opposed to the ordinance was Chief Executive Officer for Glacial Lake Energy Jim Seuer(Sire).

Seuer talks about the impact the ordinance could have economically for the region.

Landowner Jared Bossley offer criticism with everyone involved with the process.

Commissioner Drew Dennert questions the route Summit Carbon Solution is using for the pipeline.

Dana Siefkes-Lewis, Summit’s Director of Public Affairs, updated the easement numbers for the region.

Aaron Eldridge with Summit that negotiations with landowners have been difficult.

The Brown County voted to table the ordinance & will revisit it on Tuesday, April 25th.  The ordinance will now go back to the Brown County Planning & Zoning Board who will meet Tuesday, April 18th at 7pm.
