ABERDEEN, S.D.(HubCityRadio)- At Tuesday’s Brown County Commission meeting, the commissioners received a report from Brown County Emergency Management Director Scott Meints involving LEMPG grants.  LEMPG stands for Local Emergency Management Performance Grant.

Meints inform the commission that the state is cutting funding to the program.

Meints attribute the cuts from the federal spending cuts happening in D.C.

Meints gave a question to the commissioners on the next step going forward.

Meints also update on his understanding on FEMA cuts being pushed by Secretary Kristi Noem.
