Brown County has 11 new COVID-19 cases; no new hot spots

ABERDEEN, S.D. (HubCityRadio.com) – Brown County saw another double-digit total of new COVID-19 cases on Wednesday.

There were 11 new confirmed cases bringing the total to 143, 82 of which are associated with DemKota Ranch Beef Plant, according to Dr. Josh Clayton, State Epidemiologist.

However, Clayton said that there are no specific hot spots in the Aberdeen area.

Brown County also had five new recoveries, and 31 new negative cases. Those current totals are 68 recoveries and 826 negatives.

Statewide, there were 69 new confirmed cases, 58 new recoveries and 578 new negative cases. The death total remained at 39.

South Dakota currently has 1,326 active cases of COVID-19.
