ABERDEEN, S.D.(HubCityRadio)- The Brown County Commission heard Tuesday from their Highway Superintendent Dirk Rogers about what the South Dakota Legislature is doing this year addressing RAIF funding.
RAIF stands for Rural Access Infrastructure Fund.
Rogers talks about how much money is going to the program through the legislature.
Rogers presented data on some of the counties getting the funds.
Rogers express concern about one of the bills forcing the county to return RAIF funds that they don’t use within a given year.
Two of the bills Rogers are referring to are SB236(Prime Sponsor is Senator Rohl) and SB240. You can read details on these bills at www.sdlegislature.gov.
