ABERDEEN, S.D.(HubCityRadio)- At Tuesday’s Brown County Commission meeting, the Aberdeen Police Department responded to comments made by Sheriff Dave Lunzman’s wife, Mary Jane at the previous week meeting.

Following their presentation, Sheriff Lunzman commented on those statements.

Lunzman discuss the video that was used as evidence addressing the police’s concern about MJ Lunzman’s conduct that night.

Lunzman explains it’s the officer’s responsibility to provide the warrant needed for his wife to do the blood test that’s needed.

Lunzman also defended his hiring of his wife for the position at the Brown County Jail.

Police Chief Dave McNeil suggested that Sheriff Lunzman shouldn’t be hiring his wife due to a potential conflict of interest.
