BRYANT, S.D. (WNAX) – Doug Noem of Bryant has been re-elected as President of the South Dakota Corn Grower’s Association. He’s also serving on a National Corn Growers Committee and wants to focus on helping producers with their risk management decisions.
He says crop insurance is a critical tool for producers and is also the most predictable, cost effective way to help farmers when they face weather disasters.
Noem says he’s also working with the NCGA Risk Management Action Committee on developing a plan to help producers make long term decisions for crop insurance, the farm bill and marketing in one plan.
Noem reminds his fellow growers that the deadline to sign up for the Title One Farm Bill program is March 15. He says producers can find more information on the farm bill by going to the South Dakota Corn Growers Association website.
