Bryant, S.D. in the running for potential $50,000 grant

BRYANT, S.D.(KOKK)- Bryant, South Dakota is in the running for a grant from Kubota Hometown Proud Grant to turn the $10,000 that they have already garnered into $50,000.  Bryant is South Dakota’s first representative in the Kubota grant program now in its fourth year.  Bryant Up and Coming Committee is putting its energy into revitalizing the Bryant city park.    Avis Noem Welton with Bryant Up and Coming said where the money has gone so far.

Bryant has plans in place and made improvements to the park from funds already acquired from the Up and Coming committee.  Welton talks about additional improvements that are planned.

In the Kubota Hometown Proud grant contest 20 communities have been award $10,000.  Two projects in 10 regions will go head to head in voting to turn 10 into 50 thousand dollars in grants from Kubota.

Adults with an email address can vote now through midnight August 14.  The public can vote each day.  With the $10,000 grant already awarded Bryant will install two shaded pod’s near the near playground equipment featuring recognition plates distinguishing Kubota as the sponsor.  Should they win the $50,000 total grant organizers will construct a Kubota Pavillion a new picnic shelter with the Kubota name and logo proudly displayed in the peak of the structure.  Voting now at kubotahometownproud.com
