PIERRE, S.D.(DRGNews)- Parents of students at Buchanan Elementary School in Pierre received notice of a shelter-in-place order issued at the school about 8:30am Wednesday morning.

Information the Pierre Police Department says, “A wanted subject ran from officers this morning and they are searching for him.”

A notice sent out by the school says they’ve been told they are safe, but were asked keep everyone inside as a precaution.

Shelter in place order has been lifted.
