AVON, S.D.(WNAX)- The budget passed by the South Dakota legislature last week would bump state aid to education by seven percent next school year.
Avon Superintendent Tom Culver says its appreciated but not all of that increase can go to teacher pay.
Culver says school districts have several dedicated budget funds.
Culver says the funding increase also depends on student enrollment.
State employees and Medicaid providers also got the seven percent increase.
