Busy weekend for the Sioux Falls Police Department

SIOUX FALLS, S.D.(KELO)- It was a busy and dangerous weekend for Sioux Falls Police.

On Friday, police arrested three men who were firing a weapon while driving down the street.

The suspects led police on a short pursuit before abandoning their vehicle near Augustana University.

Leach says one of the suspects was still armed during his arrest.

Also on Friday, a man wound up behind bars after throwing knives at Sioux Falls Police.

It occurred after officers responded to a call near the airport about a man threatening others with a knife.

The suspect fled on a bike when police arrived before stopping and confronting officers.

Leach says the suspect was tased multiple times before he was taken into custody.

55-year-old William Cross Dog was charged with three counts of Aggravated Assault on Law Enforcement, Eluding, and Resisting Arrest.

Then, late Sunday night, an officer had a rifle pointed at them while responding to a seperate call.

The incident occurred when a man came out of his home as an officer was investigating a hit and run crash near 33rd and Duluth.

The man then came back out with a rifle while shining a flashlight at the officer.

No shots were fired by either police or the suspect.

27-year-old Tristan Deck was arrested on three counts of Aggravated Assault on Law Enforcement and Possession of a Loaded Weapon while Intoxicated.
