SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) – Authorities will use a cadaver dog Wednesday to try to locate the remains of a woman missing since 1974.

Ellabeth Lodermeier has been missing since then.

Police presume she is dead.

The search team will start near S.D. 42 and the Big Sioux River Wednesday at 10 a.m.

Lodermeier was 25, from Aberdeen, and an Augustana College graduate.

Friends and family say she had just ended an abusive relationship.
