YANKTON, S.D.(WNAX)- Cassie Nagel started her new job as Executive Director of the River City Domestic Violence Center in Yankton last week.

She says domestic violence can and does have a deep impact on kids.

Nagel says they need to move from only reaction to prevention.

Nagel says the cycle of domestic violence can move from generation to generation.

Nagel previously had been with the Childrens Home Society of South Dakota. She was also a program coordinator at the Center for the Prevention of Child Maltreatment.
