PIERRE, S.D.(KJJQ)- A bill that would require legislative redistricting to be handled by a joint committee of house and senate lawmakers easily clears House State Affairs Wednesday morning. PIERRE, S.D.(WNAX)- A bill to banish the so-called “bingo tax” passed the South Dakota Senate Tuesday with unanimous support.  District 20 Senator Josh Klumb of Mitchell says currently manufactures of bingo equipment and distributes of that same equipment must buy licenses to do so. SIOUX FALLS, S.D.(WNAX)- South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem proposed a six percent increase in state aid to education along with similar raises for state employees and community health care workers. Senator Reynold Nesiba of Sioux Falls says that’s not enough. Nesiba says many of those workers have been at the front of the Covid-19 fight.… Read more »
