- The Aberdeen Central picked up their second clean sheet of the week, downing the Brookings Bobcats 3-0 on Saturday from the Brownell Activities Complex. In the games’ 10th minute, Kailyn Poppen set up Taylor Lyke who put a strike into the back of the rope for a 1-0 lead. Twenty seven minutes later, Deshani Peters, who had two goals in a game earlier this week, set up Lauren Joosten who drilled her first goal of the season. In the second half, just to put away the Bobcats and leave no doubt, Kailyn Poppen picked up a few more points on a goal, to make it 3-0. In goal, Ciara Frank made five saves. The Golden Eagles offense was aggressive all afternoon as they out-shot the Bobcats 38-13; including 18 shots on goal.
- With the win, the Golden Eagles improve their record, on the young season, to 2-1.
