Boys Golf

Pierre Invite w/ Aberdeen Central & Mo/Po

In the heat in the capital city, golfers around the state & teams put together some very solid rounds and scores, including the Aberdeen Central Golden Eagles. On the team side of things, collectively, the Watertown Arrows won the meet, shooting four under par. The host squad was only three shots over par, seven shots back of first place Watertown. Mitchell, Brandon Valley & Yankton rounded out the top five. As for Central, they finished in eighth place, collectively 35 shots over par. On the individual side of things, Watertown’s Jake Olson continued his hot play from the SDGA Junior tour. He was the medalist, he played bogey free golf, carding a 66. He sunk four birdies and even an eagle on the 13th hole par five. Cole Brust of Aberdeen Central finished in a six-way tie for seventh place. After bogeying the first two holes, he’d pick up a pair of birds on the front, to shoot an even par on the front. Brust finished the day with three total birdies. His teammate Carter Blanchard would card an eleven over par for the day, too.
