WEBSTER, S.D.(KXLG)- Chad Madsen, Director of the Day County Ambulance Service in Webster, has been named the Paramedic of the Year by the South Dakota Emergency Medical Services Association. His excellence in patient care, advocacy, professionalism, and continuous commitment to professional education earned him the honor. The association said that his dedication to patients and his colleagues exemplify the highest standards of EMS practice.
He received the award at the organization’s annual meeting in October.
Throughout his career, Madsen has been a role model for other paramedics. He has consistently demonstrated his passion for providing the best possible care to his patients. His tireless efforts to improve his knowledge and skills have also positively impacted the wider EMS community.
Lifetime Membership awards were given to five individuals who have demonstrated exceptional dedication and service to the South Dakota Emergency Medical Services Association over 15 years or more. Among the five recipients was Bonnie Nelson of Lake Preston.
