ABERDEEN, S.D.(WNAX)- The new Chair of the South Dakota Democratic Party will focus on a couple of priorities this year.

Jennifer Slaight-Hansen of Aberdeen says they need to increase their voter registration numbers.

Slaight-Hansen says democrats will respond to the needs of young voters.

Slaight-Hansen says she will also work on recruiting candidates, especially for the legislature.

Slaight-Hansen was elected Chair last month, taking over for Randy Seiler (sigh-ler) who retired.
