Chamber Ag Committee celebrates National Ag Day

ABERDEEN, S.D.(Press Release) – The Aberdeen Chamber’s Ag Committee is inviting the public to join them in celebrating National Ag Day, Tuesday, March 23, 2021.

Video clips with ag facts, recorded by Ag Committee members, and “Ask a Farmer” segments will be posted to social media throughout the day, beginning at 7 am. In addition, Beef Bucks and pork certificates, redeemable toward beef or pork in stores and restaurants, will be given away. To register, stop by one of the information tables inside Runnings and Ken’s SuperFair Foods in Aberdeen between 9 am and 4 pm or comment on the giveaway post on the Chamber’s Facebook page. Names will be drawn randomly and certificates will be mailed to the winners.

In addition, committee members will be live on air on 930 KSDN on Monday, March 22 at 7:30 am and both Dakota Broadcasting stations (107.7 The Shark & 105.5 Maverick FM) on Tuesday, March 23 at 7:30 am.

The theme for this year’s National Ag Day is Food Brings Everyone to the Table. This is an annual national effort organized by the Agriculture Council of America, a nonprofit organization comprised of leaders in the agricultural, food and fiber community dedicating its efforts to increasing the public’s awareness of agriculture’s role in modern society.
