Chamber Board supports 2022 State Legislative bills

ABERDEEN, S.D.(Press Release)- The Aberdeen Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors recently voted in support of the following Legislative Bills being discussed in the South Dakota Legislature:

 

  • House Bill 1288 – $30 Million for a Northeast Regional Jail Facility located in Aberdeen
  • Senate Bill 44 – $29.5 Million for the demolition and the construction of the new Lincoln Hall at Northern State University
  • Senate Bill 52 – $6.5 Million for the replacement of the Richmond Lake Spillway and repair of other state-owned dams
  • Senate Bill 53 – Appropriation to increase workforce housing
  • Senate Bill 62 – $600 Million Appropriation for eligible water, wastewater, storm water and nonpoint source products.
  • Senate Bill 101 – Provision regarding the sale or service of alcoholic beverages by persons under the age of 21
  • Senate Bill 179 – An Act to modify provisions regarding municipal campgrounds which would allow Wylie Park to expand facilities without seeking approval by private campgrounds within 15 miles
