PIERRE, S.D. (WNAX) – In her State of the State speech this week, Governor Kristi Noem laid out a business friendly agenda, saying rapid economic expansion will help fund vital state programs.

Dave Owen, President of the South Dakota Chamber of Commerce & Industry, says he appreciates her tone.

Owen says she addressed a crucial housing issue.

Owen says while the Governor didn’t directly address workforce development, there are still programs in place.

Owen says education and retraining options along with population growth will help address the workforce issue.
