ABERDEEN, S.D. (HubCityRadio.com) – The Aberdeen Area Chamber of Commerce will merge the annual ABBY Awards with the Christmas with the Chamber event this year. It will now be called the Chamber’s Community Christmas Celebration.

The ABBY Awards were scheduled for Sept. 17. The new event will take place from 5:15 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 10 at the Dakota Event Center.

Bea Smith, Director of Membership and Events for the Chamber, talked about the merge.

Winners will be selected in nine different categories to receive ABBY awards.

Smith said that the ABBY award presentations will fill the spot where entertainment normally takes place at the Christmas event.
