Chamber’s Ag Appreciation Banquet is back, now in January

ABERDEEN, S.D.(Press Release) – The Chamber’s Ag Committee is proud to host their annual Ag Appreciation Banquet on Friday, January 21, 2002 at the Dakota Event Center, 720 Lamont Street. The purpose of this event is to honor our local farmers and ranchers for all they do to feed, fuel and clothe the world. The social begins at 5:30, dinner & program at 6:30 and entertainment around 7:45. Guest speaker will be Amanda Radke, South Dakota farmer & rancher and BEEF Daily blogger. The Farm Family of the Year, sponsored by the Farm Forum and Agtegra, will be honored during the program.

The last banquet was held in November 2019 and had typically been held in the month of November. Due to a few years of late harvest, which prevented some farmers from attending, the banquet was moved to January. It was not held in 2020 due to Covid-19.

Nashville-based band The Desert City Ramblers will be making their debut appearance in Aberdeen as the evening’s entertainment. Their sound is a genuine approach to music, combining a gritty Southern rock edge and compelling storytelling that is the foundation of old school country music.
