Chill Tent to be part of Jazzfest in Sioux Falls

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) —  The Jazzfest in Sioux Falls will have its first Chill Tent.

Mallory Kloucek with the National Alliance on Mental Illness says the chill tent will be a temporary place to get away from the crowds.

Kloucek says you will still be able to hear the music inside the chill tent.

She says it will be a relaxing space for people “overstimulated” by the crowds.

Kloucek says the chill tent hopefully will encourage people who have not yet enjoyed the Jazzfest because of the crowds to come, as there will now be a place they can chill-out if they feel the need.

The 28th annual Jazzfest opens Friday at Yankton Trail Park with a full line-up of the best in jazz and blues entertainers.

One of the headliners has had to bow out. Here Come The Mummies won’t be playing Saturday night because one of the band’s members is still recovering from an accident.
