YANKTON, S.D.(WNAX)- South Dakota Public Utilities Commission Chairman Chris Nelson spoke to the Yankton County Republican Party Monday night.

He says its a signal about his intentions for next year.

Nelson says if he wants to run again he will need republican delegates support.

Nelson ran for the republican nomination for Congress in 2010, losing to Kristi Noem. He says he is fine staying where he is.

Nelson, also served as Secretary of State from 2002 through 2010 before being elected to the PUC.
