Cities waiting for South Dakota Housing to set rules for spending $200 million

YANKTON, S.D.(WNAX)- Communities across the state are waiting for South Dakota Housing to get their rules approved for spending the two hundred million dollars they got from the legislature for housing infrastructure development.

Yankton Thrive C.E.O. Nancy Wenande says workforce development depends on housing.

Wenande says market ready housing is necessary.

Yankton Thrive is partnering with developers to build more apartment buildings on the east side of town, closer to manufacturing plants.
