City Lights to host an election integrity event on Saturday

ABERDEEN, S.D.(HubCityRadio)- Coming up this Saturday, City Lights in Aberdeen will be hosting an election integrity event.  The guest speaker is Rick Weible from Brookings County.

Weible talked about a 2002 Act from the U.S. Congress that deal with using computer equipment for elections.

Weible talks about the cast vote record that’s used for elections.

One of the four counties that can do that is Brown County.  On Tuesday the Brown County Commission approve the ES&S machines through 2026.  Weible comments on that.

One of the features is the ability to create ballots, this could cause a concern.  Weible offers an example.

Weible talks about Secretary of State Monae Johnson whose campaign was based on election integrity.

Weible wants to deliver this message coming up on Saturday.

The election integrity event will take place at 5pm Saturday at City Lights in Aberdeen.
