ABERDEEN, S.D.(HubCityRadio)- During the open forum of Tuesday’s Brown County Commission, the city of Frederick Chairman Scott Campbell express support for ordinance setting guidelines for wind energy projects.  Invenergy are looking to establish wind farms around the Frederick area.

Brown County Commissioner Duane Sutton provides an update on when the commission may address this ordinance.

The ordinance can now viewed online at www.brown.sd.us.

Sutton believe the setback for wind projects to municipalities are around two miles.

According to the ordinance distance from municipalites to center of any wind turbine will remain at two miles if passed.
