MADISON, S.D.(KELO)- It took over 30 years and plenty of patience, but Madison City leaders say it’s worth the wait.

The Lewis & Clark Regional Water System is celebrating the connection of Madison to its system.

Madison is the last South Dakota city to connect to Lewis & Clark.

But, Executive Director Troy Larson says it isn’t the end of building out the system.

Sibley, Iowa will become the last city to connect to Lewis & Clark this fall.
