YANKTON, S.D.(WNAX)- While there are few details yet on Governor Kristi Noem’s proposal to cut the sales tax on groceries, local governments are talking about it.
Yankton City Manager Amy Leon told the city commission at their meeting Monday night that they are looking at the possible impact.
Leon says any change would be a year or more away.
Leon says there is a chance that shopping habits could change.
Noem will deliver her budget address to the legislature on December sixth.
