YANKTON, S.D.(WNAX)- Voters in Clay County will vote in November on a forty-two-million-dollar bond issue to build a new law enforcement – jail complex.

Sheriff Andy Howe says they are operating a very outdated jail now.

Howe says they can only hold prisoners for a short term now.

Howe says they have to find space in other counties for their prisoners.

A similar bond issue was defeated last year.
