Clayton says people need to continue to take precautions

PIERRE, S.D. (WNAX) – The numbers of daily positive cases of coronavirus in South Dakota have increased this week.

State Epidemiologist Dr. Josh Clayton says those are not necessarily connected to any July 4th gatherings.

Clayton says they are watching the spike in cases in many southern and western states.

Clayton says people need to stay with social distancing and other precautions.
