AMES, Iowa (WNAX) – The derecho that caused massive damage across much of Iowa was long lived and created a long path.
Iowa State Climatologist Justin Glisan says the storm formed to the west in the early morning of Aug. 10.
Glisan says the storm regenerated strong winds for many hours.
Glisan says they have had a chance to analyze the high winds.
